It's simple. You sign the B Corp Declaration of Interdependence and the B Corp Agreement. We Ring the Bell, letting everyone know you're a leader, having met what Inc Magazine calls "the highest standard in socially responsible business."

To obtain the B Corp Agreement appropriate for your business, select from the options at the bottom of this page.

B Corp Agreement Summary:

  • Certification term is two years; after two year term, company recertifies
  • Meet the performance requirement for B Corp certification
  • Meet legal requirements appropriate for your particular corporate structure and state of incorporation
  • Participate in a Certification Evaluation if randomly selected (10% of Certified B Corps selected each year)
  • Annual certification fees based on the tiered structure below for all companies that submit an initial assessment after September 1, 2016 or existing Certified B Corps who recertify after January 1, 2017.

Agreement for B Corp Certification (Conversion Form A)
For U.S. corporations located in states where benefit corporation is available, including: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, HI, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MN, MT, NE, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, RI, SC, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI or WV.

If your corporation is: a wholly-owned subsidiary, a publicly traded company, a company that earns >$1B in annual revenue, majority-owned by a publicly-traded parent company, and/or majority-owned by a parent company whose revenue is >$1B, then please use Conversion Form B.

Agreement for B Corp Certification (Amendment Form A)
For LLCs, LLPs, SPCs in all 50 states; Canadian corporations; and U.S. Corporations in CA, FL, GA, IA, ME, MN, MO, MS, ND, NM, OH, SD, TN, TX, WA, WY.

If your company is: a wholly-owned subsidiary, a publicly traded company, a company that earns >$1B in annual revenue, majority-owned by a publicly-traded parent company, and/or majority-owned by a parent company whose revenue is >$1B, then please use Amendment Form B.

Agreement for B Corp Certification (No Legal Available Form A)
For U.S. corporations located in states where benefit corporation is not yet available, including: AL, AK, MI, NC or OK.

If your company is: a wholly-owned subsidiary, a publicly traded company, a company that earns >$1B in annual revenue, majority-owned by a publicly-traded parent company, and/or majority-owned by a parent company whose revenue is >$1B, then please use No Legal Available Form B.
