These corporations are exercising leadership and influencing the marketplace beyond their company, region and industry by speaking with one collective voice. B Corporations^TM are redefining what it means to be successful.

	STEP 1: The B Survey and Report The first step in becoming a B Corporation is taking the B Survey and seeing how you stack up against the new standard for social and environmental performance. Taking the B Survey usually takes about 60 minutes. Once you've completed the survey, you will receive the B Report that contains a composite score and if that score is above 80 (out of 200 points available), you can go to Step 2. more » After completing the B Survey, each corporation receives a simple, one page B Report. The B Report is designed to make it easy 1) for consumers, investors, and institutions to make purpose-driven buying, investing, and purchasing decisions; and 2) for entrepreneurs to manage their company's social and environmental performance. The B Report weights the relative importance of each Section, each Goal and each question in the B Survey. This weighting changes depending on whether the company is a manufacturer, a distributor, or a service business. For example, environmental practices are more heavily weighted for a manufacturing business than for a service business. To see the weightings, click here.
	STEP 2: The Legal Roadmap B Corporations must amend their corporate governing documents to incorporate stakeholder interests. This institutionalizes your values into the DNA of your company so they can better survive new management, new investors or even new ownership. 	STEP 3: Download Class of 08 Package Once you have successfully completed the B Survey, it's time to make it official.
