About CardioReady

CardioReady’s offering is an end-to-end solution, spanning AED selection and procurement to training to ongoing management to post-event. We are a specialist exclusively focused on the AED sector, and maintain dedicated Practice Groups that provide us with a unique ability to understand our clients' business needs. They use a patented process to provide turn-key solutions to our clients, culminating in conferment of the CardioReady Certification. Designed to optimize lifesaving potential and efficacy, and coordinated via a dedicated Relationship Manager.

In addition to its emphasis on improving safety, CardioReady's approach embeds sound risk management principles, and their CardioReady Certification Center® affords strong local controls bolstered by real-time central / corporate visibility of compliance status. Additional peace of mind is provided by their team of medical experts who perform annual site inspections. They also recognize that compliance needs to be an easily performed routine activity - not an exercise unto itself. To put this principle into practice, they pioneered the innovative Maintenance Minder® mobile application (available for iPhone, Android, Microsoft and Blackberry devices), enabling maintenance checks to be completed in 60 seconds via a process that is as simple as scanning a bar code.

While easy to use, AEDs do require human intervention, and training helps to generate better outcomes. They offer various training options, but oftentimes traditional training methods are impractical for enterprises with high employee turn-over. With this in mind, they developed BeReady Emergency Response Training™. Endorsed by the Heart Rhythm Society*, BeReady is a patent-pending, 100% online approach to AED/CPR training that makes it financially and logistically practical to train all employees - yielding lifesaving, employee satisfaction, and social responsibility benefits. Notably, BeReady also automates the renewal process, substantially eliminating the need for regular management of trained responder rosters.

Our company and its mission are built around elevating awareness and preparedness to reduce the death from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Our core belief is that this change will most effectively be driven not by legislation but instead by the business world. Considering the alignment of value creation for society and the other aspects of our culture with the tenets of the B Corp community, becoming a B Corp was a very easy decision for us.

The Change We Seek®

While many people do not realize it, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of death in the United States, taking a life every 90 seconds. SCA strikes all age brackets, and without rapid intervention, SCA is terribly lethal, as survival rates drop by roughly 10% per minute. Fortunately, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) offer an easy and effective means of combatting SCA, and use of an AED and CPR within 3 minutes can increase the odds of survival from less than 7% to more than 70%.

CardioReady seeks change on two levels. First, the company strives to increase awareness of SCA and the lifesaving potential of CPR and AEDs. Second, CardioReady aims for the proliferation of AED/CPR use. With less than 5% of businesses having AEDs and less than 3% of the population currently trained in CPR, there is much to be gained for all of us.

Designed for laypeople to use, AEDs can be easily used by untrained school children and are very affordable. Equally, CPR is an easily apprehended skill.

To drive this change, CardioReady seeks to serve as a vocal and visible advocate across the business community, creating greater awareness. Equally, CardioReady offers a unique solution that leverages modern technology to make establishment of an AED program and training ALL of a company’s employees both easy and affordable.

What makes us a better company?
