About Ethinvest

Ethinvest was the first financial planning company in Australia with a specific ethical investment division. Ethinvest is keen to ensure that its clients know what their money is doing and are confident that it aligns with their values and concerns. Ethinvest's founder, Ross Knowles, was the founding co-president of The Responsible Investment Association of Australasia.

From individuals needing to find a super fund (or consolidate many funds!) to trustees of Self Managed Super Funds and organizations looking for a staff super plan - Ethinvest can help you find a good solution. The not-for-profits service covers all areas of portfolio design and management, including regular reporting and reconciliations and ongoing advice. Ethinvest ensures that the capital held by charitable institutions is invested in activities that are consistent with their mission and ethos - aligning the way that income is generated with the positive activities that the income funds.

All advice Ethinvest gives takes into consideration the client’s overall needs and objectives. Ethinvest helps clients manage their finances, build savings, plan for retirement and secure their future wellbeing against the risk of accident or injury. As part of Ethinvest’s comprehensive service we also review estate planning issues, as required. All clients have their own unique portfolios created specifically for their own needs and circumstances, ensuring clients can see exactly what their money is doing, and its value isn’t eroded by multiple layers of fees and charges.

Ethinvest chose to become a B Corp to be part of a movement that demonstrates and promotes the potential for business to act for the good of society and the natural environment. The B Corp assessment and review process provided us with a comprehensive range of benchmarks for our operations, and identified areas in which we could both prove and improve the environmentally and socially positive impacts of our business.

The Change We Seek®

Ethinvest seeks to help create a better world. They assist clients to organize their finances wisely and to address the issues they face in building financial security. Ethinvest helps direct investment capital to companies committed to human welfare, positive environmental outcomes and a better future. Likewise they assist clients to avoid supporting environmentally and socially negative activities, and engage the companies that their clients do invest in, or would like to invest in, to improve their outcomes in these areas. Finally Ethinvest looks for opportunities to make loans or invest directly in “Social Impact” investments which provide investment capital for affordable housing, crisis accommodation, community child care and community wind farms, etc.
