About GreenStep Solutions

The average small and mid-sized business in North America wastes $10,000 to $25,000 each year on operational inefficiencies! GreenStep Solutions is here to help businesses put that money back in their pockets, while reducing their environmental impacts at the same time. To date, GreenStep has worked with over 1,000 businesses in BC, who wanted to do more to save money on energy, waste and water, who were worried about rising energy and resource costs, and who were concerned about being environmentally responsible.

GrenStep’s team of award-winning energy experts and green business professionals offers the Green Tourism certification program, energy assessments, waste audits and the newly launched ecobase Certified program, which helps businesses generate thousands of dollars in new revenue each year, to invest into energy saving, carbon reduction projects.

We became a B Corp because we believe in the sustainability movement and more importantly, in measuring and verifying impact. Becoming a B Corp helped GreenStep to measure our own impact, and has inspired us to go further, while providing a roadmap to help us decide where to go next. We hope along the way we can inspire other businesses to do the same.

The Change We Seek®

GreenStep’s Purpose: "To change the world by making sustainable business more profitable than business as usual.”

GreenStep’s Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal: “To become the business most known for improving the social, environmental and economic performance of small and medium sized enterprises.”

In 2012, GreenStep decided that it was time to go big, or go home! The company wanted to grow their impacts to make the world a better place. They are now actively working towards this growth throughout North America in two key areas; helping all kinds of businesses to measure and reduce their carbon footprints through web-based software; and by delivering the world’s largest third party sustainability certification program for tourism businesses, GreenTourism.
