About Seal the Seasons

Seal the Seasons freeze local family farm produce in season to make it available every season of the year. No matter where you go, you know that their food is local: Seal the Seasons sells NJ produce in NJ, NC produce in NC, FL produce in FL, local produce sold locally.

We believe in local food systems that works for consumers, farmers and larger community. Our founder Patrick started this company to do just that. Back in 2014 he was a student at UNC-Chapel Hill, volunteering for a non-profit that connects farmers and food pantries called Farmer Foodshare. He saw many family farmers that were struggling to support their operations even though people wanted local produce. The food system couldn't do these basic things for the community.

Patrick thought: Why not freeze local food?

The idea sparked excitement among farmers, consumers and retailers. He realized he had an opportunity to create a new kind of company: a company that would deepen the connections between eater and farmer and strengthen local economies, supporting good jobs and access to healthy food. We become a B Corporation to commit ourselves to this mission: To make local food available to all.
