About TMI Consulting, Inc.

TMI Consulting was founded in 2010 as a diversity and inclusion management consulting company. In 2012, the partnership merged with a diversity Benefit Corporation and a marketing LLC founded in 2003. TMI Consulting, Inc. was the first diversity focused B Corporation in the world and earned national and international recognition in the field of organizational development and civic engagement. Today, TMI Consulting continues to provide diversity and inclusion consulting services and works in partnership with the rest of the TMI Portfolio companies to provide a range of socially responsible, interconnected organizations working to advance cultural inclusivity. 

We help organizations build cohesive, accountable, diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces. We offer a full suite of diversity and inclusion services, ranging from full service organization-wide assessment and strategic planning, to keynotes and employee training. Our keynote and training topics include Unconscious Bias, Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination, the Ethics of #metoo in the Workplace, and many more.

TMI Consulting supports organizations of all sizes, locally, nationally and internationally in a variety of capacities. Our work is industry and sector agnostic. We work with for-profit corporations, non-profits, churches, universities, both foreign and domestic governments, as well as non-governmental organizations. Our successful projects have included, guiding large municipal departments towards culture change, facilitating difficult conversations between diverse populations, and providing organizations with the qualitative and quantitative data they need to understand and address their unique challenges.

We became a B Corp because our business is creating inclusive workplaces and communities- making sure every person receives the respect they deserve. We fight intolerance and bias to ensure that our workplaces can flourish and bring out the best from their people. So why aren't we a nonprofit? Our status as a for profit company allows us the flexibility to develop innovative, customized solutions for our clients.With TMI Consulting Inc we work with you to develop the training and support you need to reach the next level of socially responsible business growth. We take a systems approach with our inclusion strategies. One-day training is often insufficient to create lasting change, particularly when a culture change strategy is needed. We have flexible rates to accommodate a variety of organizational structures and budgets.

The Customers section of the Assessment measures the impact a company has on its customers. The section focuses on whether a company sells products or services that promote public benefit, and if those products/services are targeted towards serving underserved populations. Questions in this section will measure whether a company's product or service is designed to solve a social or environmental issue (e.g. improves health, preserves environment or creates economic opportunity to individuals or communities, promotes the arts/sciences, or increases the flow of capital to purpose-driven enterprises).
