The Change We Seek®

The YIKES office is located in a Platinum LEED certified building and is powered by 100% Renewable electricity through The Energy Cooperative. YIKES recycles and composts office waste and prints promotional materials on recycled paper with soy ink. The YIKES office uses green cleaning and paper products. YIKES is also a 100% Replanted office.

YIKES was honored to receive the 2011 B Corporation “Most Inspirational Project” Award, and was a recipient of a Triple Bottom Line Award at the 2005 Social Venture Institute in the service category. YIKES was proud to recently accept the “Green with Envy” award in the 2012 Citywide Storefront Challenge hosted by the Philadelphia Commerce Department and the Community Design Collaborative as part of Design Philadelphia.

On January 22, 2013, award-winning web designer YIKES, Inc.was among the first companies in Pennsylvania to become a benefit corporation. The company filed its amended articles of incorporation at a ceremony held Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Independence Visitor Center in Philadelphia.  Secretary of the Commonwealth Carol Aichele was on hand to accept YIKES’ registration as a benefit corporation.

The Environment section of the Assessment evaluates a company's environmental performance through its facilities; materials, resource, and energy use; and emissions. Where applicable, it also considers a company's transportation/distribution channels and environmental impact of its supply chain.
