About Community Wealth Ventures

Community Wealth Ventures (CWV) is a management consulting firm that emboldens and equips leadership teams to innovate, grow and sustain impact. CWV partners with nonprofit organizations and foundations to design and implement innovative approaches to growth, sustainability and impact by offering strategy and implementation services. CWV supports nonprofits’ and foundations’ goals through a variety of strategies, with core expertise in sustainability through social enterprise. CWV’s collaborative approach to consulting focuses on equipping leadership teams with the skills they need to execute the strategy and the courage they need to transform the world.

Founded as a social enterprise focused on helping social sector organizations leverage market-based approaches to social problems, CWV is rooted in the intersection between private enterprise and public benefit. We are proud to be a B Corp and join other businesses in supporting interdependence among sectors, valuing all stakeholders in society, and living the change we want to see in our world.

CWV is a wholly owned, for-profit subsidiary of Share Our Strength, one of the nation's leading anti-hunger and anti-poverty organizations. Profits generated from CWV’s consulting services support Share Our Strength’s anti-hunger mission. Since inception, CWV has partnered with hundreds of nonprofit organizations from Washington DC to Missoula, Montana, with visions ranging from ending hunger to getting all third graders to read proficiently. CWV has become the nation’s leading consulting firm in applying entrepreneurial strategies to nonprofit missions.

The Change We Seek®

CWV was launched on a simple core belief: Social sector organizations have effective solutions to the problems that challenge communities, such as those related to hunger, education, healthcare and employment. What they don’t always have are the resources and strategies needed to sustain and increase impact over the long term, and ultimately, to solve these problems on the scale that they exist. CWV’s deep understanding of the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, coupled with a focus on applying “market-based” thinking across these sectors, guides organizations in developing the appropriate strategies to achieve the greatest impact on their communities.
