Core Capital Management (CCM) is an innovative, independent wealth management firm focused on sustainable responsible investment ("SRI") management, planning and practices. CCM works with intelligent and conscientious private and institutional clients alike, and was established to deliver high-level personal attention to the complex needs and values of our like-minded clients.
Core Capital Management's objective is to help our client's lead wealthier lives and achieve greater balance by aligning their investments and resources with their own positive economic, environmental, and social values. CCM's mission is to advance the goal of sustainability driven by our value system of economic, social, and environmental well being.
We became a B Corp because our mission and process of improving our own economic, social, and environmental value system is greatly in line with the B Corp certification and continual process. For us it's another great step in how we think we can collectively do things better.
The Change We Seek®
• The increased education, understanding and adoption of sustainable practices in daily business, family and personal life to positively increase individual, family and organizational values and lifestyles, business practices and investment approaches.
• The increasing sophistication of metrics for measuring sustainable practices and approaches followed by individuals, organizations, societies and economies.
• The continual improvement of approaches for communicating the benefits of sustainable practices along with continual improvements in the actual sustainable practices.
CCM's mission is summarized in a statement taken from the World Commission on Environment and Development's 1987 report Our Common Future: "to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Our beliefs behind this adopted statement are that:
• Every decision we make, vote we cast, dollar we spend, and amount we invest has an impact on our world.
• Investments and their returns should not be disconnected from investors and their world.
• People can align their values and lifestyles with their own investments and capital and not compromise returns.
• Our global population and ecological debt will continue to increase dramatically over the next 40 years.
CCM's process continually aims to improve its approaches to vetting and selecting investments by systematically pursuing all relevant ongoing sources of information on company practices, organizational approaches and business models. Intrinsic to the process is the social change created by virtue of supporting companies that have active and effective programs to create sustainable products through sustainable processes.
