davistudio fine porcelain is a studio sized designer and manufacturer of handmade dinnerware, serveware and vases. Artist/designer Mary Anne Davis runs the shop as an artist, overseeing all aspects of development and production with hands on involvement in all levels of production. Everything is made to order on site in upstate New York. Local economies and environmental integrity are at the heart of the growth of the company. Davis began davistudio as a means to support her art. As such, davistudio seeks to model the artist as the entrepreneur and create a sustainable model for artists finding ways to support their own lives as creators.
We became a B Corp to connect with other like minded businesses who share the triple bottom line vision.
davistudio's mission is to make durable artwork that is functional and inspiring. Youth are hired as apprentices and interns to inspire their potential as artists in the world, capable of making a living as creatives.

The Change We SeekTM
Reducing Energy Use
davistudio is 100% carbon neutral through carbon offsets. Efficient small kilns fire batch quantities of ware that are ordered by specific clients or in small numbers for samples.
Using Durable, Non-Toxic Material
davistudio Porcelain is made from a mix of organic grolleg, kaolin, and flint. All davistudio glazes are certified food safe and lead free, meeting the labeling standards of proposition 65, the highest standards for ceramic glaze labeling. Porcelain is a durable material that will last many lifetimes. As such, it is non-disposable making it an heirloom quality fine art object. All porcelain is durable, dishwasher safe and microwavable.
Maintaining a Clean Working and Waste Recycling Environment
Studio is kept in clean condition--the use of a HEPA filter on vacuums and regular wet mopping as standard protocol eliminates the danger of airborne silica dust. All waste materials are recycled and reclaimed.
