About e3bank

The mission of e3bank is to create and deliver financial tools and services that build stakeholder prosperity and catalyze change toward a more sustainable world while delivering exemplary returns in each domain of the triple bottom line.

We are a B because we believe that the journey towards a sustainable future begins with knowledge sharing. The B Corporation certification offers us the chance to build relationships with a community of like-minded entrepreneurs on the journey together.

Set to open in the fall of 2009, e3bank has been created for everyone who cares about a sustainable world – we want that community of people to be its owners and stewards.

The Change We Seek®

We believe that the financial industry has a critical role to play in the societal shift to a sustainable world. We are committed to restoring and protecting the natural capital that supports life and our economy, and to live off its interest instead of its capital.

• Every decision we make as business people needs to have a social and environmental return as well as the traditional financial return. In other words, we need to be “in the black” in all three domains – people, planet, and profit.

• It is our intention to put our money where our values are. Ten percent of our corporate profits will be donated to the e3foundation, whose mission is to build the green economy.
