About EcoZoom

Three billion people in the world still use biomass or charcoal for their daily cooking needs. Most are without access to an improved cookstove and are forced to cook on open fires or dangerous unimproved stoves. EcoZoom is part of the movement to make cooking safe for people and the planet. EcoZoom designs, manufactures and distributes high efficiency cookstoves to people all over the globe. EcoZoom works with governments, aid organizations, NGOs and local businesses to design the right cookstove and distribution strategy for each market. EcoZoom also sells these cookstoves in developed countries for recreation or emergency preparedness use. Every time someone in a developed world country buys a stove, EcoZoom will ‘zoom’ a stove to a cook in need through its Z+ program.

Operating a for-profit company in a space dominated by governments, NGOs and aid organizations can create some skepticism. We became a B Corp to demonstrate our high level of commitment to our social mission and the environment. We believe in the power of business to solve social and environmental problems and think business will be instrumental in finally creating sustainable markets for clean cookstoves.
