About Evergreen Lodge

The Evergreen Lodge is a Yosemite tourist resort that runs and self-funds an onsite multifaceted youth employment program. To the tourists and other visitors who stay with them, they are a well regarded Yosemite resort that provides memorable outdoor experiences and education. Behind the scenes, their employment program is providing intensive services to a group of high-potential young adults.

B Corporations will be instrumental in helping grow the social enterprise arena through providing clear criteria and defined standards for responsible business, and through clearly communicating these to consumers.

The owners of the Evergreen feel lucky to be stewards of such a special place, and are committed to making sure Evergreen continues to create lasting memories for another hundred years. Simply stated, they want you to be blown away by your experience at the Evergreen and to be sad to leave. They hope you will return and become a regular part of the Evergreen tradition and family. • Evergreen's specific social mission is to support at-risk San Francisco Bay Area youth ages 18-24 in developing stable, rewarding careers and lives. We do this by providing an integrated program of meaningful career-oriented training and work experience, intensive social service support, and exposure to a rich set of outdoor and recreational life experiences.

• Our commitment to our youth program stems from two central beliefs: that supportive employment can help young people build momentum in their lives and help them realize their fullest potential; and that the outdoors in general, and places like Yosemite in particular, should be accessible to everyone.
