Grassroots Capital is a leader in microfinance investment. The firm plays a pioneering role in attracting private capital into the industry, creating investment vehicles to address market gaps, and providing the necessary funding to support new and innovative as well as established and mature initiatives.
We became a B Corporation both because we want to play a leadership role in a community of like-minded companies and because we recognize the need for standards to drive more capital to businesses that alleviate poverty and drive development.
Grassroots Capital has assembled a team of investment professionals with financial markets and microfinance industry experience, and direct experience in key markets around the globe. They offer investors a unique platform to engage in investment opportunities offered in a high-growth, profitable, low-correlated and geographically diverse asset class.

The Change We Seek™
Our objective is to contribute toward the elimination of global poverty.
• We are pioneering the engagement of private capital through microfinance investments, which in concert with philanthropic and public initiatives will help build inclusive and sustainable economic systems for all. We seek to create innovative, market-based solutions and to achieve returns that will significantly expand the universe of private investors and the flow of capital into the microfinance sector.
• Grassroots invests capital in microfinance institutions around the world. Our aim is to deliver “double bottom-line” returns to our fund partners through a combination of current returns and medium and long-term capital appreciation, as well as credible and measurable social impact.
