When Hudson TG was launched in 2007 its focus was healthcare and education policy advocacy. Today they continue to work on these issues, but have expanded their work to include policy and opinion research about environmental regulation and climate change issues, consumer financial protection, and the access to capital issues that plague small businesses.
The firm has run dozens of campaigns for candidates and non-profit advocacy organizations. In addition, the firm has counseled clients on politics and policy at the state local and national level. In the process, the Hudson TG developed a simple philosophy: provide value by improving the client's ability to achieve their goals. Thoughtful political and policy analysis are part of this, but solving their client's problems lies at the heart of what they do.
The values advanced by B Lab and B Corporations are ones that are important to us and also to our stakeholders. By becoming a B Corporation, we are better able to broadcast our commitment to those values and hopefully set an example of social and environmental responsibility in our community.
The firm's practice groups include: Campaigns & Advocacy, Fundraising and Policy. In 2010, Hudson TG's launched a Social Venture Practice that puts this philosophy to work by building hybrid nonprofit/market solutions and products to address large social problems.
The Change We Seek®
Hudson TG is a platform for its entrepreneurial partners to create positive social change by engaging the most dynamic and progressive clients in the United States. Our culture is focused on building a team of diligent social entrepreneurs who are cared for by their employer and in turn are focused on creating a better world with our clients. Political advocacy is the tool we most often deploy to improve our educational system, provide income support to America's working families and to strengthen America's economy through her small businesses, but its not the exclusive tool. We approach each social problem with an eye toward the result, asking first, what must be done, and then focusing on deploying the best tools for that result.
