Icon Wheelchairs Inc. is a company built around a single guiding principle- to better the lives of people who use wheelchairs as locomotion. To achieve this, Icon manufactures a line of innovative manual wheelchairs and accessories. The Icon wheelchair offers the key innovations of adjustability, modularity, and suspension in a slim, lightweight chair that is easy to breakdown and transport. Founded in March of 2010 Icon Wheelchairs is the only wheelchair manufacturer owned and operated by wheelchair users.

We became a B Corp because the B Community is filled with honest companies striving to benefit the world, and we felt that becoming a certified B shows leadership to consumers and others in the industry.

Icon strives not only to improve the lives of those who use wheelchairs as locomotion by offering an innovative and life-changing product, but by providing employment opportunities to people with disabilities. Further, Icon will establish its US manufacturing in Holyoke, Massachusetts, one of the poorest communities in the North East. By doing so, Icon will provide skilled training and good jobs to those who would not otherwise have been given the opportunity.
