Position Title: Inside Sales Coordinator

Overview:

Numi is seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator to primarily and proactively reach out, through outbound calls and emails, to both prospective and existing customers to build a strong relationship with Numi Organic Tea in order to increase sales. They will be responsible for managing direct accounts, growing sales, and transitioning direct customers to distribution as they grow.

The Inside Sales Coordinator will also work directly with our customers, prospects, brokers and distributors to support their needs in the retail, natural, specialty and grocery channels. They will also provide administrative support to Numi’s Sales Managers including mailings, new item paperwork and develop outreach programs to prospective customers.

The inside Sales Coordinator will occasionally assist marketing in various capacities by representing Numi at consumer events, tradeshows, and promotional campaigns.


Essential Functions for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Support Sales initiatives to achieve the company’s sales goals in Natural/Specialty, Gourmet & Gift.

• Outbound calling to existing Numi customers of Gift , Gourmet and Specialty class of trades

• Develop demand for Numi among target markets (Gourmet shops in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles) with the goal of setting up a network of specialty distributors. Take turnover orders and submit to distributors in a timely manner.

• Field inbound customer inquiries (phone and email). Direct customers to the appropriate distributor, website or set up as a direct account.

• Cold calling prospects generated by industry trade media (Specialty Retailer Magazine) and from prospect lists purchased by Numi.

• Load qualified prospects into CRM software and develop a schedule for follow-up, sample sending, take orders, coordinate with brokers & inform sales manager of sales activity. Including Trade show leads.

• Compile and send monthly and quarterly sales reports and business reviews to Business Development Manager as well as Regional Sales Managers. These reports will track calls made, new account hits, existing account turnover order, and overall sales in the direct retail channel.

• Understand sales strategies and promotions; work with sales teams to obtain latest Numi distribution in various classes of trade.

• Initiate exciting and out-of-the-box ideas in how to promote the Numi brand.

• Work creatively to brainstorm new ideas to move the Numi brand forward while maintaining its look and feel and overall message & identity.

• Provide administrative and clerical support to Vice President Sales, Business Development Manager and Regional Sales Managers.

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to make strong sales presentations and capable of closing a sale.

• Previous sales, telemarketing, merchandising an/or natural products industry experience

• Successful people and teamwork skills in an entrepreneurial environment

• Works well under pressure while meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.

• Proficient with business systems, including Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

• Must be able to have a flexible schedule and able to work some weekends.
