Katovich Law Group provides an alternative to the traditional law firm model. Because they are committed to sustainability in all respects, they have chosen to operate as a virtual law firm. This allows them to keep their overhead to a minimum, provide greater flexibility for their staff, and keep their fees well below the going rates for legal services. Their hope is that this contributes to their clients’ efforts to meet their own goals for providing excellent service to their customers at a reasonable price while honoring the needs of their workers, communities, and the planet.

We are focused solely on socially responsible enterprises and community development and we integrate socially responsible and environmentally friendly practices whenever possible. This includes reducing our environmental footprint, supporting locally-owned businesses, creating mutually beneficial networks within the community, and cultivating a fair and positive working environment for our staff.
We have become a Certified Bay Area Green Business by implementing measures to reduce our consumption, recycle, conserve water, reduce pollution, and conserve energy.
As a virtual law firm, much of our work is performed electronically, reducing the high amount of paper waste which is traditionally associated with running an office. When possible we use the backsides of printed sheets for notes and drafts, use two-sided printing, and generally reduce the number of documents which need to be printed. We buy reusable and repairable office items and select products with as little packaging as possible. We use equipment with energy saving features, fans and windows instead of air conditioning, and take advantage of natural lighting.
