About Lateral Line
Lateral Line is the first angler-driven company dedicated to creating the very best technical year-round fishing clothing for striped bass anglers. We view the clothing we wear while fishing as part of our "equipment" and that is the approach we take when we build it. Lateral Line products are the best of the best, rugged and meant for hardcore year-round striped bass fishing.
We believe that by similar companies coming together our collective voice will be stronger than our individual voices alone. We believe this new voice will attract new companies to share in the triple bottom line vision which will prolong the life of our fisheries and our planet and make the earth a great place to fish and live for future generations.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Easton, Maryland, Lateral Line builds the most technologically advanced year-round fishing apparel on the planet. We have over fifty products under research, design and being tested by fishing guides and hardcore recreational anglers worldwide. We are also designing a full line of women's outdoor fishing shirts and other women's fishing (flyfishing) clothes tailored specifically for women anglers. Our fishing clothes allow striped bass anglers to have fishing apparel that is truly functional, rugged and stylish enough to wear your passion on and off the water.
The Change We Seek®
We run our company with the goal of achieving a triple bottom line. We believe that through this balance we can provide superior products to our customers, have fun, take care of our employees, save the fish through our "2% for the Fish" program, and make money all at the same time.
• Though our 2% for the Fish initiative we give 2% of our gross sales to the Lateral Line Foundation, utilizing the money to conduct fisheries research projects, grassroots conservation initiatives, and work in conjunction with like foundations. We also give to other non-profits that share our vision and values. We build conservation themes and responsibility into all we do.
• We are an environmental sustainable conscious company and believe in working with similar types of companies when building, distributing or selling Lateral Line products. When it comes to our suppliers and manufacturers we research those that we work with to assure they are doing their best to minimize the impact on the environment in the production process. We also assure that all the workers in these factories are treated fairly.
