Melissa Joy Manning designs, manufactures and sells high-end fashion and fine jewelry. Using gold, silver, semi-precious and precious stones and found objects, the line blends traditional and modern jewelry by utilizing unconventional materials to create neoteric pieces.

Since the company's inception, Melissa has sought to harness her passion for the arts to create positive impact. Becoming a B Corporation enables us to learn from others that have taken further steps in their own businesses and to surround ourselves with like-minded business leaders. As a collective group, we create change through pooled resources and ideas.

Melissa Joy Manning jewelry is hand made in Oakland, California by trained metal smiths earning a living, working wage. They manufacture all components of our jewelry in our own studio using only the finest materials purchased from our trusted, American suppliers. They believe jewelry should accent your own beauty, never overpower it. They are about real metal, real stones and, above all, real people.

Melissa Joy Manning is committed to operating in a manner that promotes socially responsible sourcing and manufacturing and minimizes environmental impact.

• They want to ensure social responsibility throughout the entire jewelry making process, from mining and refining to jewelry manufacturing. We have the power to challenge our suppliers, retailers and consumers to be aware of the impact that their purchasing decisions have on the environment and communities; this is what ultimately creates industry change.

• They work exclusively with US-based vendors; because the US is a participant country in the Kimberley Certification Process, diamonds are not allowed into the country unless they are documented to be Kimberley Certified Conflict Free Diamonds.

• Within their own company, they provide employees with a living, working wage, they give to charitable organizations, and we operate in a low-income city neighborhood to stimulate local economic development.
