The leading solar company in Colorado, Namasté Solar is clearly differentiated from its competition and has been recognized for superior customer service, conscientious business practices, a commitment to green building, community philanthropy, and for its positive and productive work environment. The company has grown rapidly since its inception in 2005, and has remained profitable in each year except for the first year in operation. In 2009, Namasté Solar ranked 56th on the Inc. 500 list of America’s Fastest Growing Businesses and as the fastest growing solar company in the United States.
We became a B Corporation because we want to continue as leaders in the “quadruple-bottom-line” business model and inspire other companies to create positive organizational change. Namasté Solar is acting on behalf of future generations, bringing the highest quality of service and materials to individuals and businesses in Colorado and beyond.
Namasté Solar’s unique, values-based business model includes employee ownership, democratic decision-making, community collaboration, open communication, an innovative solar grant program, zero-waste initiatives, educational programming, and holistic profit measurement. The company maintains high ethical standards among employees, customers, and the community. Committed to positive social change, Namasté Solar prioritizes “doing the right thing” above all else for all stakeholders. Internal company initiatives include co-ownership, democratic decision-making, and frank, open, and honest (FOH) communication. All co-owners hold themselves to a high standard of accountability and fairness. Namasté Solar was named WorldBlu’s Most Democratic Workplace in 2011 and 2010. In addition, the company won the 2010 Boulder Chamber of Commerce Best Place to Work Award as well as the 2009 Denver Business Journal’s Best Place to Work. The creative culture and business model at Namasté Solar have kept employee retention above 94%.
