About Kinvolved

Kinvolved’s mobile and web app, KiNVO, enables K-12 school staff to access informative attendance data and to engage families through real-time, translated, text messaging. Customized professional development supports the integration of KiNVO into broader school, district, and community strategies.

In the 2015-2016 school year, Kinvolved's partner high schools increased attendance by a rate 13 times that of the average high school.

Co-founded by a teacher and parent advocate, Kinvolved is equally focused on its mission, to ensure all students attend school everyday, and the health of the business. In our industry, we believe it is both a responsibility and just smart business, to deeply embed impact measurement in our model.

The Change We Seek®

School attendance is the primary leading indicator of graduation rates. Yet, nationally, 15% of students miss a month of school each year. In urban, high poverty communities, up to 50% of students miss school at this rate, which means that they are Chronically Absent.

Our Chronically Absent youth have less than a 1 in 5 chance of earning a high school degree.

While family involvement in these same communities trends low, research proves that family involvement is one of the most successful solutions to Chronic Absence.

Kinvolved is the leading expert in this field, and provides a proven solution to student absenteeism.

By providing schools with a simple way to identify students at-risk of Chronic Absence, and the ability to instantly communicate through two-way dialogue with families, they are helping to shift the culture in communities toward one of collaboration and shared accountability for the health and future of our children.
