About Nativa

Nativa is an activist sustainability consultancy that charts the path for those who lead the change. Their purpose is to create a large scale positive impact on society, the biosphere and the economy. Nativa partners with leading businesses to help them thrive while regenerating society and the environment.

Nativa uses first sustainability principles as a beacon

Nativa was born as a Benefit Corporation, the first in Europe, and it has been, in February 2013, the first Certified B Corp® in Italy. Nativa is the country partner of B Lab in Italy. Nativa, since 2014, has been a key actor in introducing the Benefit Corporation (Società Benefit) law in Italy, making it the first country in the world outside of the US to adopt Benefit Corp legislation. In 2016 Nativa was awarded Most Valuable Player of the Global B Corp movement.

Nativa incorporates the innovation methodologies of The Natural Step, an international non-profit organisation, and a benchmark in the research and implementation of sustainability strategies since 1989. Nativa is The Natural Step Italian Branch.

Nativa is cofounder of Positive Impact, the B Corporation holding the license for the Singularity University Italy Summit. Nativa develops new businesses, such as, to address the future of work grand challenge, and, to create communication that makes people want to accelerate positive change.

We are a happiness company. The Statute of Nativa affirms that: “The ultimate goal of the Company is the happiness of all who are part of it, both founders and others, through a motivating and satisfying commitment to a prosperous economic activity.”

We have not become a B Corp, we have designed Nativa as such. Nativa’s purpose is a paradigm shift in our economic system, so that by design human activities and businesses, value people’s happiness, and regenerate society and the biosphere. What else makes sense?

The Change We Seek™

Nativa helps companies evolve toward a higher goal. Because the future belongs to those who create a positive impact on society and on the planet.

Our vision is that Italy becomes a model of sustainable innovation for the world.

What makes us a better company?
