About Brew Tea Company

Brew Tea Company is an independent tea company based in Manchester. They make awesome tea with rolled, whole leaves, and supply their Drinkers and Stockists with proper brews all over the world.

Phil and Aideen set up Brew Tea Co in 2012 with no budget, one stockist, and one big idea: to Make Tea Awesome. To begin with, our blends were packaged in foil bags labeled with Sharpie and delivered in a trusty Nissan Cube. Five years, one new HQ and sixteen more people later, plenty has changed, but our big idea lives on!

Tea deserves more than just a sludgy paper tea bag squeezed into a bucket sized mug. When it comes to tea, we make it awesome. That means sticking the classics, sourcing the best and not being afraid to get our hands dirty.

We stick to nine, classic blends and do them justice. Making blends that taste like they should and as best as they can. Novelty blends just aren’t our bag. We keep our range small and stay stubborn on quality.

Rolled, whole leaves are exactly what’s called for when making tea awesome. It doesn’t just look better, it tastes better too. We’re also picky about where our tea comes from, only ever sourcing from farms where ethics are a top priority.

Not being afraid to get our hands dirty means doing it ourselves. All of the blending, sourcing, picking and packing gets done right here by the Team at Tea HQ. We also make our own tea bags in-house, packing more leaves into each bag than any other tea company.

We've always been stubborn about doing honest business. Whether that means always doing things ourselves, grilling our new suppliers to make sure they're the right fit for us or sourcing the very best leaves that we can, we're constantly reflecting on how to be better. Becoming a certified B Corp is our way of cementing our commitment to doing honest business.

Getting certified needed more cross-party commitment than almost anything we've ever done - from small projects, like changing the light bulbs to big changes, like rethinking our articles of association. It’s been a long slog, but we’re immensely proud to be a part of the B Corp community.
