One World Futbol Project

About One World Futbol Project

The One World Futbol Project markets a unique new ball for soccer and other sports that never goes flat, never needs a pump or needle, and goes on playing even if punctured. Designed for use in the rugged conditions of refugee camps, war zones, and poor communities throughout the world, the One World Futbol is also ideal for play or practice anywhere – on blacktop or cement, on the beach, indoors, or on any grassy surface.

We chose to launch a business rather than a nonprofit, believing that only through business could we sustain our efforts over the years and eventually go to scale. And because we believe that no business is truly sustainable unless it incorporates into its core values and business practices a commitment to restoring the environment and dealing fairly with all its stakeholders, we elected to become a B Corporation.

The company, the One World Futbol Project, sells the ball under a “Buy One Give One” model at retail and deeply discounted for bulk sales to nonprofits for free distribution in deserving communities. Co-branded balls are also available in large quantities at favorable prices to for-profit companies. The One World Futbol has been distributed in 128 countries, offering opportunities for sustained play to an estimated 525,000 children and young people during the company’s first year in business.
