About OtoSim

OtoSim was founded by two Otolaryngologists (ENT - Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists) associated with the University of Toronto (U of T) and the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids); in association with SickKids and MaRS Innovation.

OtoSim has developed an OTOSCOPY TRAINING & SIMULATION SYSTEM that has shown to increase the diagnostic accuracy of students by 44%. Through the simulation device, database of clinical scenarios, and interactivity between the instructor and student(s), OtoSim enables a medical practitioner to quickly and effectively develop confidence in their otoscopic skill, and ability to diagnose visually through an otoscope.

While a for-profit company, our underlining interest is in improving medical outcomes worldwide through maximizing the dissemination of ENT training and related technologies; such as OtoSim. Maximizing profit is not the key driving force and a significant portion of our profits flow back to the Departments of Otolaryngology at U of T and SickKids to improve education.
