Piedmont Biofuels

About Piedmont Biofuels

Piedmont Biofuels is a community scale biodiesel operation which collects used cooking oil from area food service establishments and converts it into a clean burning renewable fuel. Some of their fuel is sold to their coop members as B99.9 through their six retail locations. And some of their fuel is sold to oil companies who blend it with petroleum and sell biodiesel blends such as B20, B5, and B2.

We have always put our mission first. We are a clean air project. We service a cooperative. We are obsessed with the idea of figuring out how to fuel our community.

The Change We Seek®

Piedmont Biofuels believe in a micro-nodal model of energy production. They think energy should be produced where it is consumed and that we need to upend the giant top-down energy infrastructure which is bad for the environment and communities.
