About Preciva

Preciva has developed a portable, wireless electronic test that will transform cervical cancer screening and treatment, dramatically increasing screening in low income countries where screening is currently rare and replacing the existing standard, the Pap test, in countries like the United States.

We became a B Corp to be part of a community that shares our commitment to redefining what “business as usual” looks like. Being a B Corp allows us to contribute to a vital movement in the evolution of mission-driven business.

The Preciva system will provide immediate diagnosis, with results displayed in a color graphic that is easy to understand and enhances discussion between patient and provider. In low income settings outside the United States, immediate test results using a portable device without a need for laboratory infrastructure will allow clinics to see and treat disease in a single encounter. Inside the United States, our test will encourage monitoring over pre-emptive treatment, lowering costs for health care systems and offering women greater opportunities to have a say in their own care.

We were founded in the belief that every woman deserves an equal chance to live free of cervical cancer. Developing innovative healthcare products with a socially responsible corporate ethos, Preciva identifies two goals:

• providing access for every woman to the highest quality cervical screening and diagnosis

• shifting high income health care systems to strategies which favor noninterventional monitoring of early stage tissue changes instead of preemptive treatment.

Metrics for our social benefit will be a 30% increase in screening over five years and a 70% decline in cervical cancer mortality over 10 years in targeted at-risk communities previously lacking access to screening.
