About RainWater Solutions

RainWater Solutions manufactures and distributes the 65-gallon Moby rain barrel. They also design and install above and below ground rainwater harvesting equipment. They work with residents, local and state agencies, and public and private institutions to develop custom rainwater harvesting solutions with the intent of protecting their landscape investment and preserving water as a natural resource. Their goal is to educate and engage with their clients on the importance of protecting water quality through conservation and implementation of best management practices for stormwater runoff.

We became a B Corp because taking the impact assessment helped us organize our business to better follow the mission of being a triple bottom line company.

The Change We Seek®

In the beginning they recognized that lessening their footprint on our plant made good business sense. They designed their product from 100% recycled plastics and manufacture it locally in North Carolina. The Moby rain barrel is made to collect and reuse a precious natural resource, water. Using their product to educate consumers about the benefits of conserving water also helps to bring awareness about protecting our water quality. They see the large equation in the use of rain barrels, 65 gallons of rain water at one home will not make a dent in offsetting potable water, but 65 gallons x 1000 can make a signification difference in protecting our water supply and buffering storm water runoff. Making rain barrels affordable and available to everyone is core to their mission of supporting sustainable living practices, in doing so they work with government agencies and non profits to sell their Mobys at a wholesale price.

Designing and installing rain harvesting systems for indoor and outdoor use is a growing industry, they work with their national organization for rain water harvesting to educate and certify more business owners to implement these systems to produce a positive experience in conserving and reusing rainwater.
