A vertically integrated company, Sambazon is able to ensure the sustainable harvest of açaí in the Amazon Rainforest, fair working conditions for the small scale farmers we source from, and the finest quality, nutritionally potent, and delicious açaí products on the market.

Sambazon is the only source of Organic and Fair Trade açaí and our products can be found in over 10,000 major retail stores and juice bars across North America including Whole Foods, Publix, Kroger, HEB, Albertsons and Vitamin Shoppe.
The Change We Seek®
In 2003, Sambazon founded the Sustainable Amazon Partnership that carries out a host of social and environmental programs in the Amazon including sustainable agro-forestry and environmental stewardship training, alternative income generating activities such such as local honey production and açaí seed jewelry making, and biofuel projects which use açaí seeds instead of virgin forest as a source of fuel.
Today, Sambazon is proud to have created the first of-its-kind Fair Trade and Certified Organic Supply Chain of açaí. As a triple bottom line business, Sambazon pioneered a market driven conservation business model around marketing açaí to the global marketplace. This model has created positive change in the Amazon Rainforest by sustainably managing and protecting the biodiversity of 2 million acres of rainforest land and increasing the socio-economic status of the over 10,000 small-scale family farmers that Sambazon works with.
