Community Food Enterprise (CFE): Local Success in a Global Marketing: CFE is a project funded jointly by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to profile 26 replicable models of local and community-owned food enterprises in the U.S. and abroad. CFE blends qualitative and quantitative original research, including interviews, visual documentation, assessment of financial performance, and evaluation of social and environmental performance using the B Ratings System. Their report and a multi-media website will be released this summer.
