SMART Watering Systems

About SMART Watering Systems

SMART Watering Systems is a water efficiency consulting firm and a "hands on" irrigation water management company that works with municipalities, parks departments, architects and property managers to reduce potable water use on landscapes. SWS measures, manages and monitors it's clients water use through technology that enables leak detection, water use reporting and weather based schedule adjustment using weather information from it's private, dedicated weather network. SWS offers water auditing, irrigation upgrades, irrigation system monitoring, rain water system design and irrigation design services that help clients identify and act on water saving opportunities.

SMART Watering Systems acts on a simple philosophy. "If we are going to continue to use potable water on our landscapes, we must make every effort to use it responsibly". This means we must identify and eliminate waste and also move towards alternative water sources as the true value of our water resources is realized. SWS believes that a truly sustainable business contributes positively to the global marketplace not just through business but through leadership and by encouraging others to think critically about their staff and operations. SWS became a B Corp to demonstrate to our clients and staff that we are not only committed to their sustainable water use, we also want to ensure that how we run our business is sustainable as well.

The Change We Seek®

We hope that through our leadership, other organizations will be proactive in looking at their business impact as well as "water footprint"" and investigate ways to reduce it. We hope that globally, there is an increased focus on sustainable business and that water is a resource that we all start to think differently about. While it may be abundant for some of us, it is also finite and a key economic driver for all of us.
