About The SOAP Group

The SOAP Group is a communications advocacy firm working for organizations that have social and environmental positivity oozing from their pores. SOAP works for large and small corporations, governments, non-profits, traditional ad agencies and all the crevices in between. They are consultants, strategists, graphic designers, educators, programmers and writers. SOAP thrives on: dot-connecting, reputation-building, sales-growing, fact-checking, good-causing, multiple stakeholder-engaging, life-bosterning, strategic-advising, fun-having, soul-searching, effective-comunicating, money-saving, and clean-making.

We became a B Corporation to support the change we yearn for, and to roll up our sleeves and contribute some persistent authenticity to the sustainability marketplace.

The modern consumer requires dialogue, not monologue. Old School mass marketing and broadcasting is a failed strategy for communicating authenticity. The conscious consumer wants promotion that does more than promote. And businesses to do more than sell products. Responsible organizations need a communications advocate. A group that can touch all stakeholders with the right messages; partners to help engineer and implement a brand and communications strategy with rich diversity, complexity and inherent growth.

The Change We Seek®

The SOAP Group seeks to increase the transparency, relevance, reputation and recognition of organizations with innovative ideas and progressive voices for the future.

We serve sustainable businesses, and our strategies end with communication, rather than start with it. We help socially responsible businesses discover their real strengths and develop these core values into a powerful and visible brand. We work with companies to frame their desired audience and its motivations to understand best how to present this brand. We specialize in reaching the target audience and matching the intent and mission of the business with those of the consumer – if we brand it, they will come.

From time to time we call our friends and pull off an Education Stunt. The Stunts are designed to inspire deeper thoughts about sustainability, human rights, social justice, art and other issues that are important to our employees and to culture in general. For example, last year we embarked on a stunt meant to educate the public on the importance of the bicycle as a means of transportation and the effects of commuting via bike versus car (www.whitebikes.org).
