The Swamp School

About The Swamp School

The Swamp School is an educational institution established to offer quality instruction for the environmental industry. Our classes our focused on wetlands and watershed issues. We provide discipline-focused education and training in wetlands and environmental assessment, OSHA safety, hazardous waster management, and Real Estate continuing education. We offer both online and traditional classroom venues.

Unless environmental organizations start looking and acting like "established" businesses no one will take them seriously; the B Corporation framework addresses this issue by aligning environmental conservation with conventional business. That framework also provides consumers with information about the environmental and social performance of the companies they buy from, enabling informed purchasing decisions. Not only will this help our business grow, but it will create market pressure for other companies to incorporate environmental and social performance into their business practices.

At home or in the field, The Swamp School has a course designed expressly for you from the recognized environmental scientist and instructor, Marc Seelinger. Marc, Professional Wetland Scientist, has over 23 years experience with wetland delineations, functional assessments, stream restoration, mitigation design, watershed planning, BMP design and storm water planning.

The Change We Seek®

The Swamp School' s mission is to provide a quality educational interface between the academic and professional environmental disciplines while at the same time minimizing time away from the office and home. This training will prepare the environmental workforce with the necessary tools to ensure natural resource protection in a socially responsible manner.
