About VIASYN

VIASYN provides engineering consulting and other technology-enabled services to utility-scale renewable energy generators across the entire project lifecycle, from site evaluation to contract and interconnection agreement negotiations through to day-to-day operational monitoring and post-operational audits. In addition, VIASYN supports wholesale energy service providers that offer “green” energy programs, and also engages in innovative programs to better integrate renewable energy into the electrical grid. VIASYN is certified by the California Independent System Operator as a Scheduling Coordinator, and by the Electric Reliability Corporation of Texas as a Qualified Scheduling Entity.

VIASYN is a purpose-driven organization: we promote the well-being of the people, environment and economy of North America by supporting the development and integration of “green” electricity sources. We recognized in the B Corporation community a group of fellow organizations focused on improving more than just the bottom line; it was a natural step for us to become a Certified B Corp.

VIASYN has a strong focus on environmentally responsible generation and currently counts among its generation customers - landfill methane, biomass, and wind resources. VIASYN has been a leader in providing scheduling and settlements services to "green" generators eligible for the California Participating Intermittent Resource Program and we provide expertise in the certification, operation and improvement of our client’s generation facilities.

The Change We Seek®

VIASYN’s mission is to promote the adoption of renewable energy sources in North America, working in conjunction with generation and demand clients, and the various electrical grid operators. Our services facilitate the integration of new renewable energy sources into the existing transmission and distribution infrastructure; helping developers to evaluate and assess potential new renewable projects; connecting supply with demand; and maximizing net revenues for each of our generation project clients.

VIASYN is a Qualified Reporting Entity (QRE) with the Western Regional Electricity Generation Information System (WREGIS). As a QRE, VIASYN can take responsibility for reporting your renewable energy generation for creation of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). These RECS are tracked in the WREGIS database for use for verification of compliance with state and provincial regulatory and voluntary market programs such as requirements for the Western Region's Renewable Portfolio Standard.
