Clients come to Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP from a broad spectrum of industries, including small startups, major corporations, and public entities. They work hard to maintain the trust and personalized attention that their clients have come to expect. While they have a strong regional name, they serve clients nationwide in many types of transactional and litigation matters. Founded in 1909, they're proud, to be one of the largest and oldest continuing law practices in the East Bay. In fact they celebrated their 100th Year Anniversary in 2009.
The values advanced by B Lab and B Corporations are ones that are important to us and also to our stakeholders. By becoming a B Corporation, we are better able to broadcast our commitment to those values and hopefully set an example of social and environmental responsibility in our community.
Their practices are designed to meet your needs. They encourage you to explore the many interrelated areas of Wendel Rosen's law practice. Whether you are searching for a mediator or arbitrator, requiring a litigator or preparing a strategy to avoid potential disputes, the litigation team at the firm is likely to have the right mix of talent to address your requirements. If you are developing a new business, engaging in a complex real estate matter, attending to personal wealth management or succession planning, or preparing for a merger, consider contacting one of their experienced transactional attorneys.
The Change We Seek®
In an industry known for "papering clients to death," the firm switched to entirely 100 percent, post-consumer waste recycled paper, processed chlorine-free. For printing projects the firm will use soy-based inks. They've instituted two-sided copying as a default for most reports and copy jobs. The firm also encourages electronic transmission of documents, whenever possible.
In July 2003, Wendel Rosen became the first law firm in the country to be awarded "green" status by a certifying agency (in this case the Bay Area Green Business Program), and joined the ranks of hundreds of Bay Area "green" businesses. In January 2007, the firm went through a second audit process to ensure that they continue to keep their goal of running a sustainable operation.
