About Bettr Barista

Bettr Barista Coffee Academy is a leading provider of specialty coffee education and currently the only organization in Southeast Asia to offer international certifications from both the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE).

At the heart of its business is a social program that arms disadvantaged women and at-risk youth with vocational and life skills that pave the way for long-term careers in the specialty coffee industry. The Academy adopts a whole-person approach that focuses on mental, emotional and physical training, and works with social service organizations, family service centers and other community groups to engage potential students.

The Academy also offers consultancy, a full-service mobile brew bar for events, coffee-themed team-building experiences and programs for corporates, as well as retails coffee machines, accessories and coffee beans freshly roasted from its dedicated facility.

The B Corp community embodies everything we've always believed in about how businesses can and should be built and run - using the power of enterprise to champion more socially responsible practices, with more positive and far-reaching impact, for the better - and we're very proud to be a part of this community.

We are deeply aligned with B Corp's values and reasons for existence, and fully support the rigorous standards of transparency and performance that we are benchmarked against. Being B Corp certified provides us with a very good framework for organizational growth and development. The re-certification process ensures that, as a business, we stay on track to keep doing better and improving. It gives us a guiding post for decision-making as well as a common language of accountability and betterment to strive towards within our organization.

The Change We Seek®

Bettr Barista Coffee Academy wants more businesses to realize the importance of being driven by more than just economic profit, and serve a greater purpose that contributes more positive value to the world.

It hopes for more organizations to create working environments that encourage staff, business partners and customers to be better versions of themselves - while making a decent living - and champion a new breed of businesses that work first towards doing real good in real places, and having a real impact.

Bettr Barista also hopes that consumers start making more conscious and responsible purchase decisions, where they demand that businesses are more ethical, transparent and accountable in the way they are run, in their practices and in their relationships with their partners and suppliers.

What makes us a better company?
