About Greenbanc

Greenbanc is the leading provider of Home Energy Scores in California. The Department of Energy created the Home Energy Score to be a faster, simpler energy rating that provides homeowners and the real estate market with useful information about home energy performance. The Score identifies opportunities to invest to achieve attractive returns and carbon emission reductions.

Greenbanc provides a marketplace platform called Greenjobs that connects homeowners with qualified contractors. Homeowners benefit from an easier process to upgrade to a better home at a lower cost, and marketplace partners receive green jobs and financing opportunities.

Its partners include the U.S. Department of Energy, City of Berkeley, StopWaste, and many qualified professionals including home inspectors, energy raters, contractors, solar installers, architects, credit unions and banks.

Though our organization is designated as “for-profit”, our mission is to accelerate the transition to sustainable homes free from energy bills and emissions. We are committed to creating positive change in the community and the environment through catalyzing investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy. We seek sustainable development goals and the community of other B Corps.

The Change We Seek®

Old fuels are driving climate change to an irreversible "danger zone" and it's time for innovation. Today, all homeowners can be successful clean energy investors with better, more valuable homes.
