About Intelligarde International Inc.

Intelligarde® is a Canadian owned and operated security company with a global mission. Founded in 1982, Intelligarde® has served as a beacon for community safety and security for over 30 years.

Intelligarde® is an innovator in security services with a proven ability to adapt with rapidly changing social, political and economic conditions.

With offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton and Winnipeg, Intelligarde® has an extensive portfolio of clients spanning from Government organizations to Fortune 500 companies.

We became a B Corp to disrupt our industry and reimagine what it means to be a security guard. As the only Certified B Corp security company in the world, we focus on improving the lives of our employees and the communities they serve.

  • We improve pride of employment and our employee’s financial health through an Employee Share Ownership Program (ESOP). We are the first security company globally to introduce this to employees.
  • We maintain the highest standards of employment including competitive wages, WSIB & EHT contributions and strong health benefits, despite increasing financial and social pressure from black market entrants.
  • We educate through industry-leading training programs that permeate our employees personal and professional lives. We focus on emotional intelligence training, problem-based learning and financial literacy.

The Change We Seek®

Intelligarde® seeks to change the lives of security industry workers globally; empowering them to proudly act as a beacon of safety and stability for the communities that they are tasked with protecting.

Recent changes in government regulations have resulted in major shifts in the security industry. These industry shifts have had a profound impact on the ability of security guards to:

  • take pride in their employment
  • achieve long-term financial stability
  • properly serve their communities
  • forge strong relationships with their employers.

Through an ongoing commitment to B Corp principles and better business practices, Intelligarde® will create social and economic change that helps to make the world a better place - one security guard at a time.

What makes us a better company?
