Kinvolved is improving graduation rates by closing the communication gap and aligning all stakeholders to support students. Their app facilitates real-time, 2-way text and email communication among members of students' support networks. The Change We Seek®

The U.S. ranks 17th among fellow developed nations in our K-12 students’ performance. Approximately 1 in 5 students do not graduate from high school, and each year, our nation’s dropouts cost society more than $200BN in lost income and tax revenues. Research from the Gates Foundation proves that parent engagement is the best way to keep students in school, but 53% of dropouts report that their schools never informed their families when they missed class, failed class, or even dropped out. As attendance is the top indicator of graduation, and more than 7.5M students miss a month of school annually, it is problematic that many parents don’t even know, for example, if their children have shown up to class. It is essential that schools have both the tools to streamline efficient communication and the training and support to use communication as a tool to leverage stronger student outcomes.

By facilitating instant, efficient communication, among all of the stakeholders involved in a child's life, from parents to teachers to coaches and mentors, Kinvolved is proving impact. Leveraging communication as a tool to drive results, Kinvolved's partner schools and youth programs have experienced improved student attendance, more positive relationships with families leading to stronger school cultures, and most importantly, better academic achievement.
