About Lafes

Lafes is an award winning natural and organic personal care brand with a twenty year history of creating healthy plant based products that promote sustainable living practices and  strong environmental stewardship.  Lafes offers an extensive line of certified organic deodorants, babycare and haircare products, taking pride in the company’s formulations that follow from the founder's mother’s simple adage regarding ingredients, “if you can’t pronounce them, avoid them.”

The founder’s deep seated belief is that consumers should be given healthy choices when it comes to what goes on the body with a commitment to product formulations which that are free of toxic preservatives, fake fragrances and anything petroleum.  Lafes' Toxic Ten lists many everyday synthetic chemicals found in supermarket brands but don’t meet their high standards.  Additionally the company’s policies support the believe that natural and healthy should be affordable for everyone with the hope that someday, natural and organic will become mainstream while synthetic and chemical become secondary.

Bringing empowerment to each individual through greater knowledge and better understanding, is the inspiration that fuels Lafes' passion for continuing to create products consumers describe as genuine and authentic and that contribute to one’s own good health as well as the health of the world community.

Lafes believes a person’s health is most valuable. People from all walks of life should have access to safe and healthy personal care products. Empowerment and self healing strategies through education and knowledge are essential to living a healthy and productive life.  By creating healthy alternatives to conventional brands made with toxic/synthetic/unsafe chemicals consumers can choose a healthier, happier life. 

We believe that knowledge is the key to empowerment and self healing.  Lafes started because we have a deep-seated belief that people should not have to settle for toxic/unhealthy/artificial when it comes to personal care products.  Many conventional supermarket brands are full of unhealthy chemicals that harm our bodies. We produce products that are natural and organic formulations and free of chemical preservatives, fake fragrances and anything petroleum.

But making health and natural personal care products is only part of the solution.  Lafes seeks a more egalitarian society where people from all walks of life can enjoy the benefits of natural personal care no matter what their economic status.  They envision a society whereby natural and organic and authentic and genuine become the mainstream while synthetic and chemical and toxic and artificial become secondary.  Healthier people mean a healthier and more peaceful world community.
