Peace Power

Electricity, Natural Gas, & Green Energy Provider

Edmonton, Alberta

About Peace Power

Peace Power is a wholly-owned and operated Canadian business that strives to be different. The company's mission is to provide Alberta's best utility experience through a combination of price, sustainability, customer service, flexibility, convenience, information, education, and transparency. Peace Power is also very proud of their triple-bottom line approach, whereby they not only provide savings to their customers of typically 10 - 20% but also donate 10% of annual profits to local community initiatives. Community, as well as accountability and efficiency, is truly at the core of their business philosophy.

While currently 17% of Alberta's electricity generation capacity comes from renewables, Peace Power has taken it a step further offering its customers the ability to lower their carbon footprint by purchasing renewable energy certificates (RECs) to offset their consumption. One REC certifies that 1 MWh of audited renewable power has been placed onto Alberta's grid. Peace Power purchases its RECs from low-impact biomass generation facilities that have been EcoLogo-certified by Environment Canada. Residential and commercial customers of Peace Power can choose to green any percentage of their monthly consumption thereby reducing their environmental impact and supporting the development of new renewable generation in Alberta.

B Corp Certification further signals to our stakeholders – customers, co-workers, suppliers, community, and the environment – that our values of accountability, sustainability, and transparency are truly at the core of our business.
