About People Who Global

People Who is an online platform for all people who live with an illness and which brings together all of the services that patients need in their everyday life into one place. Patients have three principal needs: social relations, tools which make their everyday lives easier and the need to stay informed. People Who fulfills each of these three dimensions with their three sections: a Community to speak to other people who are in the same situation, a Control area to keep track of the illnesses and a Magazine for patients to stay up-to-date with reliable information.

People, not patients: What binds People Who users together is their value as people who treasure and share their personal experiences. People Who will always treat a patient as a person and not as a patient, because when we are outside the surgery or the hospital, we are all people. We will always speak from a perspective that is personal and human.

Social: People Who believes that today's society can improve how it deals with illness. They have noticed that fear, insecurity and bitterness stop people from establishing a natural relationship with their illness. That is why their main goal is to improve that relationship. People Who does their best to provide a new social and participative perspective that helps to build a new society with a more natural relationship with illnesses and an understanding that they are part of life.

Right to information and knowledge: Individuals should have the primary responsibility for managing with their illness. To overcome illness, we have to have access to all the information possible. People Who believes in patients being informed from every point of view in life: scientific and medical, practical, human, cultural, etc. Therefore, part of their task consists in providing people with all the available information about a given illness, in a way that is clear and easy to understand.

Health needs responsibility. We have a Code of Ethics that covers a set of values, rules and moral principles that act as a guide for us when we make decisions and take actions. Becoming a Certified B Corporation was a natural move for us.

The Change We Seek®

People Who believes in the patient empowerment and they are committed to help patients to become e-patients: to participate actively in their treatment, to be well-informed, and to take responsibility for their illness.

Doing so they can help to build a society that copes better with illness, where patients and health professionals work together to improve the quality of life.
