About Pharos

Over twenty years ago, two innovative software engineers in New Zealand answered the call to eliminate wasteful printing at the University of Auckland. Founders Geoff Shaw and Paul Reddy invented the first print management software with the launch of Pharos Uniprint. They understood that they were fundamentally solving a people problem, not a “printing” problem. Now, from its corporate headquarters in Rochester, New York, Pharos develops and sells hosted print management solutions including its new cloud-hosted Beacon platform which creates actionable data transparency to reduce print for organizations of all sizes.

Pharos reaches across the world, transforming users and print environments in healthcare, higher education, finance, government, and corporate industries. Making print the way it should be, Pharos places sustainability squarely in the center of its mindful print solutions.

We decided to become a B Corp when we realized that our technology and expertise have always led organizations to produce less print waste, which leads to significantly lower rates of resource consumption and a more secure and sustainable printing environment for federal agencies, universities, and corporate enterprises around the world. The transparency of B Corp certification makes our commitment to sustainability clear and engaging to employees, partners, and customers alike.
