About Investeco Capital

Founded in 2002, InvestEco is a venture capital firm that invests primarily in expansion-stage, North American private companies that promote health and sustainability in the food and agriculture sector. Their goal is to generate strong financial returns for their investors while supporting companies that are contributing to a healthier world.

From its inception, InvestEco has been committed to investing solely in companies that provide environmentally superior products and services. They became a B Corp to join, and show their support for, the growing community of companies similarly committed to improving the world.

InvestEco has invested in over eighteen private companies, ranging from companies that are developing renewable energy, water technologies, resource productivity technologies and efficient transportation solutions, to those that promote health and sustainability in the food and agriculture sectors. Growth in this sector has enabled many small and medium-sized sustainable food companies to prosper and InvestEco believes that the market climate has created excellent investment and realization opportunities.

Investment companies typically have between $1 - $30M revenues at the time of initial investment, and positions are held for 4-7 years. InvestEco adds value to portfolio companies by offering deep sector experience, a wide-ranging network and an entrepreneurial approach to the business as well as frequently acting as directors, helping management and the board to set a strategic direction for the company.

InvestEco became a B Corp to recognize that the goals of our corporation include furthering the values that drive our investment activities, particularly the goal of supporting sustainable business practices.

The Change We Seek®

InvestEco seeks to build a healthier, more environmentally sustainable, more just and more resilient society. Through their investments they promote a range of outcomes including: healthier food that is more generally available to more people, reduced emissions and pollution from agriculture, better management of soils and water, increased biodiversity, improved animal welfare, better conditions for agriculture workers and small family farms and more resilient food systems.
