About Purpose Capital

Purpose Capital is a North American impact investment and advisory firm that works with Canadian and US investors – individuals, families, foundations, financial institutions, and governments – and their advisors who wish to integrate social and environmental impact into their operational strategies and investments. We help to design and deploy customized impact investment strategies spanning sectors, asset classes, and regulatory regimes. Purpose Capital marries deep experience in investment banking, consulting and advisory services, impact assessment, and social entrepreneurship to design and realize solutions that matter to the world.

We became a B Corp because it's a no-brainer, really. We need to be able to look investors in the eye and tell them that profits can run alongside impact. We need to be credible when we advise individuals and organizations who want to change the world. How else do we do that if we don't play in the same sandbox, and marry our own success to a mission? It wasn't about marketing or brand value. It was about proof of concept -- to the world, and to ourselves. Being a B Corp is one way we nurture an enabling environment for impact investing every day.

The Change We Seek®

To create an economy filled with investors and ventures that matter to the world, because the world matters to them. For Purpose Capital, the only investments worth building are those whose profitability is indivisible from the wellbeing of the environment and society -- for whom engagement and responsibility are not burdens, but rather opportunities and drivers of scale and success.
