About Raven + Lily

Raven + Lily is an ethical fashion and lifestyle brand dedicated to empowering women through design. This company develops long term partnerships with talented female artisans around the world to create their collections of apparel, gifts, and accessories. Raven + Lily is dedicated to fair trade and eco-friendly principles, striving to provide their customers with fashionable products that are good to the environment as well as the people that make them. Raven + Lily products can be purchased online, through one of their many retail partners, and at their flagship storefront in Austin, TX. By shopping with Raven + Lily, customers are given the opportunity to use their purchasing power to make a positive impact on the world.

Our social mission was already part of our company's DNA, so becoming a B Corp seemed like a natural next step in growth. As a company, we wanted to have transparency, extra accountability, and the highest level of verification that we are truly accomplishing our social mission.

The Change We Seek®

Raven + Lily is committed to creating high quality, fashion forward products that are beneficial for the environment and the people behind them. The company seeks to do this primarily through employing at-risk women with specific artisan or design skills to create their exclusive hand-crafted collections. Some of these women are refugees, some are formerly homeless, some are HIV+, some are widows or single mothers - every woman has a story and deserves a chance to earn income with dignity. All of their artisan partnerships are committed to fair trade practices, provide access to healthcare, ensure educational opportunities for their children, and create a caring work environment for the women.

Beyond the commitment to fair labor practices, Raven + Lily also cares deeply about the way their products are made. The brand is dedicated to using locally-sourced, recycled, and organic materials to produce their collections. For example, their metal jewelry line from Ethiopia is made from melted bullet casings; this method of recycling turns something once meant for harm into something beautiful and life-giving to the women who create the jewelry. Another example is their upcycled apparel line produced in Cambodia out of remnant fabrics discarded from the local garment factories. This company is always seeking to repurpose materials and use the natural resources of the countries where the goods are made to further support local economies. The end result gives Raven + Lily customers handmade artisan goods, crafted with the highest ethical standards.
