About re:focus partners

re:focus partners is a design firm that specializes in developing resilient infrastructure solutions for cities and communities around the world.

The re:focus team brings together expertise in public policy, engineering, design, finance and sustainable development to create integrated resilient infrastructure systems—including water, transportation, and energy projects—and develop new public-private partnerships. The goal of every re:focus project is to better align public funds and leverage greater private investment to protect and improve the lives of vulnerable and underserved populations.

By working with governments at all levels and bringing together leading engineering, legal, and finance partners, re:focus provides dedicated technical assistance to help communities reimagine their aging and failing infrastructure systems and generate viable large-scale and long-term investment opportunities.

At re:focus everything we do involves collaboration. No one has all the answers to every problem, so we actively seek out diverse partners and incorporate new people, disciplines, and methods into our work as our projects evolve. Our network of collaborators includes engineers, lawyers, urban planners, investment bankers, policy experts and a wide range of multidisciplinary loose cannons. We became a B Corp to expand this network and join a global community of like-minded change agents.

The Change We Seek®

A core belief at re:focus is that partnerships are essential to make lasting and meaningful change. We seek to change the way that governments, developers, and investors work together to create new infrastructure solutions that have sound financial returns and economic, social, and environmental integrity for the communities they serve.

We identify targets of opportunity for new public-private partnerships around core infrastructure needs in cities and critical sectors. Based on our policy experience, we look for systemic policy or infrastructure gaps, where large-scale integrated solutions can create new private investment potential and public value.

Our team reflects a spirit of public service and private sector innovation. We work with urgency on long-term challenges and believe that the social and environmental impact of our work is essential to the financial success of every project.
