Founded in 2000, Eleek is a sustainable design and manufacturing business specializing in high-style lighting and other decorative building parts. They also offer custom design and manufacturing, as well as lighting restoration and retrofitting services.
We became a B Corporation to support the organization's good work and to align ourselves with the fine work of so many other good companies.
The Change We Seek™
As a Certified B Corporation, Eleek takes pride in being a sustainable and socially responsible business by committing to using local environmentally preferable materials.
• More than 80% of their supplies and materials come from within 50 miles of their Portland shop and they even utilize scrap metal from their local reuse center.
• Their company vehicles run on B99 biodiesel (B50 in the winter).
• Eleek has reduced its waste output by 80% in the past 3 years & is honing in on its target of zero waste.
• Eleek uses the framework of the Natural Step Network to define its goals & gauge its progress.
• Eleek is very proud to be named among Sustainable Industries' "Top Ten Green Building Products" four years in a row (2006-2009).
• Eleek offsets 100% of its electricity & natural gas with renewable energy offsets.
